KSS Joint Operations with SAPS
On Friday the 23rd and 30th October Howick SAPS held more joint operations. KSS and other security companies assisted. The raids took place at various locations in the Howick and surrounding areas. Numerous arrests were made and illegal alcohol was confiscated.

There were 3 incidents in Howick. There were 2 incidents in Merrivale. There was 1 incident in Hilton.
KSS Incidents 21 – 31 October 2020
21 October 2020 07:15 Laurel Crescent (Merrivale) The KSS Control Room were advised about intruders on the property. KSS Response units were dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that spotlights had been stolen. Access was gained by jumping the fence. SAPS were formally advised. A case was opened.
21 October 2020 21:49 Fraser Street (Howick) The KSS Control Room were advised about an accident. KSS Response units were dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that a bakkie had driven into an electrical pole and knocked it over. The KSS Control Room advised Rock Power accordingly. SAPS were formally advised. A case was opened.
22 October 2020 03:07 Old Howick Road (Hilton) The KSS Control Room received a panic activation. KSS Response units and SAPS were dispatched. KSS Officers reported that suspects had gained access by cutting the fence and then forced the veranda door open. A TV was stolen. KSS handed the incident over to SAPS. A case was opened.
23 October 2020 15:20 Mare Street (Howick) The KSS Control Room were advised that laundry had been stolen off the line. KSS Response units were dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that the client was at home but did not hear the intruders. KSS conducted patrols in the area. SAPS were formally advised. A case was opened.
24 October 2020 10:18 Laurel Crescent (Merrivale) The KSS Control Room received an alarm activation. KSS Response units were dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that when they got to site the suspect fled. KSS Officers were able to retrieve the stolen items. The client advised no need for SAPS as all stolen items had been recovered. The client expressed his gratitude at the swift action of the KSS Officers.
30 October 2020 02:15 Exchange Lane (Howick) The KSS Control Room received an alarm activation. KSS Response units were dispatched. The KSS Officers reported a positive break-in. A chainsaw was stolen. SAPS were formally advised. A case was opened.
