Herewith some useful crime tips:
1. Please be aware that “easily removable” items are usually the target of criminals. These items include electronic equipment, gate motors, batteries, tools, garden equipment, copper pipes, scrap metal, outside furniture, bicycles and other clothing or smaller items. Note that sheds, Wendy houses, garden flats or garages make soft targets. Please make sure that you protect these areas with an alarm or PIR beams.
2. Set your alarm every time you go out. Also make sure that windows and doors are protected by burglar bars or gates, and that they are kept locked.
3. Contact your security service provider if you are suspicious about any movement or noise outside. Don’t endanger yourself.
4. Remain alert, sensible and safe when at home, leaving or returning in your vehicle, at the shops and at the ATM.
5. Report crime to your local SAPS.
