Incident summary (crime and other)
There were 3 incidents in Howick. There was 1 incident in Merrivale. There was 1 incident in Mpophomeni. There was 1 incident in Curries Post.
KSS Incidents 15 – 23 March 2021
15 March 2021 14:00 Main Street (Howick) The KSS Control were advised that copper pipes had been stolen. A KSS Response unit was dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that he suspects had turned the water off and then cut the pipes. SAPS were formally advised.
20 March 2021 21:37 Main Road (Howick) The KSS Control Room received a call from the client requesting assistance. KSS Response units were dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that a battery had been stolen out of a vehicle. Access was gained through the palisade fence. SAPS were formally advised. A KSS Security Guard was placed on site.
23 March 2021 06:00 Rietvlei Road (Mpophomeni) The KSS Control Room were advised that noises were heard on site by a KSS Security Guard. The KSS Security Guards went to check and noticed a suspect fleeing the site. Nothing was stolen. Site management were advised.
23 March 2021 13:05 Laurel Road (Merrivale) The KSS Control Room received a call from the client advising that there had been a break-in. A KSS Response unit was dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that access was gained under the fence. A cable was stolen. As per the client no need for SAPS.
23 March 2021 16:41 Curries Post Road (Curries Post) The KSS Control Room received a call from a client advising that there had been a break-in to an unalarmed shed. Access was gained by cutting the fence and then unscrewing the door latch. Various tools and garden implements were stolen. SAPS were formally advised. A case was opened.
23 March 2021 16:56 Campbell Road (Howick) The KSS Control Room received a call from the client advising that there had been an attempted break-in. As per the client no need for SAPS.
