Incident Summary (crime and other)
There were 4 incidents in Howick. There were 2 incidents in Boston. There was 1 incident in Merrivale. There was 1 incident in Tweedie.

KSS Incidents 1 – 10 November 2021
1 November 2021 11:47 Impendle Road (Boston) The KSS Control Room were advised about a break-in. A KSS Response Team were dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that access was gained through the main gate and then a window smashed. Items were stolen. SAPS were formally advised. A case was opened.

2 November 2021 21:34 Holiday Road (Merrivale) The KSS Control Room were advised that a kettle braai had been stolen. As per the client no need for SAPS or Armed Response. KSS patrolled the area.

6 November 2021 13:39 Market Street (Howick) The KSS Control Room were advised that a cell phone had been stolen off the counter. The suspect fled on foot. KSS Response units were dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that they patrolled extensively but could not locate the suspect. SAPS were formally advised. A case was opened.

6 November 2021 19:27 R617 and Edendale Road (Boston) The KSS Control Room received a call from a client requesting assistance. A KSS Response Team was dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that there had been an attempted theft of a cable at a pump house. The alarm had triggered and the suspects had fled. Nothing was stolen. SAPS were formally advised. KSS conducted additional patrols in the area.

7 November 2021 01:28 Tweedie Road (Tweedie) The KSS Control Room received a panic activation from an onsite KSS Security Guard. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that they patrolled and found a badly beaten up man who was trying to get away from a group of people. KSS Officers handed the man over to SAPS.

7 November 2021 15:01 Harvard Street (Howick) The KSS Control Room were advised by Howick SAPS about an armed robbery at a shop in the CBD. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. Other Security Service Providers were also in attendance. KSS Officers reported that 4 suspects had stolen cash and cell phones and then fled in a vehicle. SAPS took over the investigation. There were no reported injuries or damages to the store.

8 November 2021 14:54 Andrew Street (Howick) The KSS Control Room were advised about a positive break-in. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. KSS Officers reported that items had been stolen out of the garage. There were no signs of forced entry. SAPS were formally advised. A case was opened.

9 November 2021 08:39 Bevdon Place (Howick) The KSS Control Room were advised about a break-in. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that access was gained by jumping over the main gate and then forcing open a lock on a back room. Items were stolen. SAPS were formally advised. A case was opened.
