KSS Incidents 13 – 23 January 2022
13 January 2022 11:26 Harvard Street (Howick) The KSS Control Room received a panic activation. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that they had apprehended a suspect stealing items. SAPS were formally advised.
17 January 2022 08:02 Holiday Road (Merrivale) The KSS Control Room were advised that a scooter had been stolen. A KSS Response Team was dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that access was gained by cutting the fence. SAPS were formally advised. A case was opened.
17 January 2022 10:40 District Drive (Merrivale Heights) The KSS Control Room were advised that a motorcycle had been stolen. A KSS Response Team was dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that access was gained by cutting the fence. The motorcycle was parked outside. SAPS were formally advised. A case was opened.
18 January 2022 06:21 Geekie Road (Merrivale) The KSS Control Room were advised that 2 suspects had stolen items from their employer. KSS Officers on scene reported that the suspects were apprehended. SAPS were formally advised. KSS handed the incident over to SAPS. A case was opened.
18 January 2022 07:15 Via Roma Road (Merrivale) The KSS Control Room were advised about a break-in to a vehicle. A KSS Response Team was dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that items were stolen from the vehicle. SAPS were formally advised. A case was opened.
19 January 2022 04:42 Laurel Road (Merrivale) The KSS Control Room received an alarm activation. A KSS Response Team was dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that there had been a break-in. Access was gained by damaging the fence. Electronic items were stolen and the alarm system was damaged. SAPS were formally advised. As per the client no need to open a case.
20 January 2022 10:55 Main Street (Howick) The KSS Control Room were advised about a break-in. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that the neighbour had seen suspects entering the property and called for assistance. Two suspects fled with stolen items. One suspect was apprehended by members of the community. SAPS were formally advised. A case was opened.
22 January 2022 17:05 Main Street (Howick) The KSS Control Room received a panic activation. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that a suspect had been apprehended trying to steal items from a store. SAPS were formally advised.
23 January 2022 14:36 Market Street (Howick) The KSS Control Room were advised about a break-in. A KSS Response Team was dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that the client was home at the time but did not hear anything. A window was broken and electronic items were stolen. There were no other signs of forced entry. SAPS were formally advised. As per the client no need to open a case.
