KSS Incidents 4 – 17 March 2024
10 March 2024 10:57 Laurel Crescent (Merrivale) The KSS Control Room received an alarm activation. A KSS Response Team was dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that the suspect gained entry by lifting the fence. The suspect fled. Nothing was stolen. As per the client no need for SAPS. KSS conducted additional patrols in the area.
13 March 2024 09:23 Rylands Road (Howick) The KSS Control Room received a call from a client requesting assistance. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that the suspect gained entry by cutting the fence and broke the sliding door. The suspect fled. Nothing was stolen. The alarm was not armed. SAPS were formally advised. A case was opened.
14 March 2024 08:03 R617 (Merrivale) The KSS Control Room was advised that an aluminum double door had been stolen. A KSS Response Team was dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that there we no signs of forced entry. As per the client no need for SAPS.
14 March 2024 15:09 Loram Road (Merrivale) The KSS Control Room was advised about a break-in in progress. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. KSS Officers reported that there were two suspects on site. One suspect was apprehended, and the stolen items recovered. The other suspect fled. SAPS were formally advised, and the suspect was handed over to SAPS. A case was opened.
15 March 2024 17:45 Flanders Crescent (Merrivale) The KSS Control Room received a call from the client advising that they had had a break-in to an un-alarmed outside room. Nothing was stolen. The client also advised that the neighbour had been broken into and does not have an alarm system. SAPS were formally advised. A case was opened.
17 March 2024 02:06 Ridge Road (Howick) The KSS Control Room received a call from a client requesting assistance. A KSS Response Team was dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that suspects had derailed the main gate. The suspects fled when they were spotted by the client. Nothing was stolen. SAPS were formally advised.
19 March 2024 21:15 Eridene Road (Howick) The KSS Control Room received a call from a client requesting assistance. A KSS Response Team was dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that a mower had been stolen. SAPS were formally advised. A case was opened.
19 March 2024 15:50 Exchange Lane (Howick) The KSS Control Room received a call from a client requesting assistance. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that a search was conducted, and stolen items were recovered. As per the client no need for SAPS. The matter was handed over to the client.
