KSS Incidents 22 – 31 March 2024
23 March 2024 04:31 Dick Street (Howick) The KSS Control Room received an alarm activation. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that a solar panel and small flood lights had been stolen. Access was gained by jumping over the gate. SAPS were formally advised. A case was opened. KSS conducted additional patrols in the area.
25 March 2024 01:16 Main Street (Howick) The KSS Control Room received a panic activation. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that two males under the influence of alcohol were fighting, and vehicles had been damaged. SAPS were advised and arrived on scene. KSS handed the incident over to SAPS.
28 March 2024 06:13 Geekie Road (Merrivale) The KSS Control Room received a community message requesting assistance. A KSS Response Team was dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that two vehicles and various electronic items had been stolen. Access was gained by using the pool brush to pull the house keys off the table to open the door. No alarm was set. SAPS were formally advised. A case opened. The vehicle details were loaded onto the UCSI SNIPR system.
29 March 2024 02:56 R617 Boston Bulwer Road (Merrivale) The KSS Control Room received a radio call from a KSS Security Officer requesting assistance. A KSS Response Team was dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that there were suspects on site who fled when they were spotted. Access was gained by cutting the fence. Nothing was stolen.
30 March 2024 07:25 Main Street (Howick) The KSS Control Room received a panic activation. A KSS Response Team was dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that a suspect had been apprehended. The matter was handed over to management.
30 March 2024 10:26 Market Street (Howick) The KSS Control Room received a message requesting assistance. A KSS Response Team was dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that a suspect had stolen a laptop. The suspect fled. SAPS were formally advised. KSS conducted additional patrols in the area.
31 March 2024 15:05 Leonards Road (Hilton) The KSS Control Room received a call from a client reporting that her gate had been damaged. As per the client no need for Armed Response or SAPS as she would report it to SAPS. KSS conducted additional patrols in the area.
