Proudly Howick Golf Day
KSS was involved with the Proudly Howick Golf Day on Friday 27 September 2024. KSS is always out there supporting local, and it was a great day out. Below are some of the photographs of the KSS table, one of the holes and then some of the four balls that came through to enjoy the day.

KSS Incidents 7 – 30 September 2024
7 September 2024 01:05 Karkloof Road (Karkloof) The KSS Control Room was advised by on-site KSS Security Officers that there was suspicious activity in the area. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. Patrols were conducted within the property and along the boundary lines. No suspects were found.

7 September 2024 10:14 Riverview Road (Howick West) The KSS Control Room received an alarm activation. A KSS Response Team was dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that roof tiles were missing. Nothing was stolen. As per the client no need for SAPS.

8 September 2024 19:00 Bell Street (Howick) The KSS Control Room was advised by a KSS Security Officer that while he was walking in Bell Street a lady had informed him that she had been mugged when she was locking up shop. A KSS Response Team was dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that some young boys had stolen her bag, keys, remote and cash. KSS conducted additional patrols in the area.

8 September 2024 11:18 Zeederberg Road (Merrivale) The KSS Control Room received a call from a client requesting assistance with an inebriated employee. A KSS Supervisor was dispatched. The KSS Supervisor reported that a breathalyzer test was conducted, and the results were positive for alcohol. KSS handed the incident over to management.

8 September 2024 18:47 Birnamwood Road (Merrivale Heights) The KSS Control Room received a message requesting assistance. A KSS Response Team was dispatched to assist. The KSS Officers reported that a man had been hit on the head with a rock whilst walking on his property. The suspect fled. The electric fence had lose strands but was reported to not be in working condition. SAPS were formally advised. A case was opened.

9 September 2024 17:47 Zeederberg Road (Merrivale) The KSS Control Room received a call from the client requesting assistance as a customer had allegedly been mugged. A KSS Response Team was dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that on viewing the CCTV footage, it appeared that the customer knew the suspect and they had exchanged phones at the gate. KSS handed the incident over to site management.

9 September 2024 19:15 Penny Lane (Hilton) The KSS Control Room received an alert from the Hilton Rapid Response Group that the bottom fence of the property had been cut. No access was gained. Nothing was stolen. KSS conducted additional patrols in the area.

11 September 2024 12:31 Ogilvie Road (Merrivale) The KSS Control Room received a panic activation and a call from the client requesting urgent assistance as they were being threatened by intruders. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that the situation had diffused when they got there, and the suspects had fled. SAPS were formally advised and dispatched to assist.

11 September 2024 16:27 Surrey Lane (Hilton) The KSS Control Room was advised about a break-in. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that suspects had entered the house and stolen a phone and food. There were no signed of forced entry. As per the client no need for SAPS.

11 September 2024 16:50 Bell Street (Howick) Patrolling KSS Response Officers apprehended a suspect known to be involved in at least two crimes in the area. The client was advised. The suspect was handed over to SAPS. A case was opened.

12 September 2024 06:26 Ludgate Hill (Howick) The KSS Control Room received a CCTV camera activation, and one suspect was seen on site. A KSS Response Team was dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that the suspect was apprehended. Nothing was stolen. As per the client no need for SAPS so the suspect was released.

12 September 2024 11:35 Main Street (Howick) The KSS Control Room received a call from a client requesting assistance as there was a suspect on site known for stealing money and the SPCA donation tin. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. The suspect was apprehended. SAPS were formally advised. KSS handed the suspect over to SAPS. A case was opened.

14 September 2024 20:06 Riverview Road (Howick West) The KSS Control room received a panic activation. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that a suspect had been apprehended for stealing an item. The client made the suspect pay for the stolen item and advised no need for SAPS.

14 September 2024 03:25 Flanders Crescent (Merrivale) The KSS Control room was advised about a suspect on site. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that a suspect had broken into a vehicle. Items were stolen. KSS conducted additional patrols in the area. SAPS were formally advised. A case was opened.

14 September 2024 12:54 Zeederberg Road (Merrivale) The KSS Control Room received a call from the client advising that there had been a break-in. CCTV footage revealed that two suspects had jumped over the palisade fence. A tyre rim was stolen. As per the client no needs for SAPS.

14 September 2024 02:20 Karkloof Road (Howick) The KSS Control Room received a CCTV camera activation showing poachers on the neighbouring property. A KSS Response Team was dispatched. KSS Officers reported that they conducted patrols, but the poachers had left the area.

15 September 2024 19:38 Harvard Street (Howick) The KSS Control Room received a CCTV camera activation showing one suspect on site. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that an item had been stolen. As per the client no need for SAPS.

16 September 2024 10:00 Oleander Road (Merrivale) The KSS Control Room received a call from a client requesting assistance because his wallet had been stolen from his vehicle. A KSS Manager assisted. CCTV footage was viewed. There was no evidence of theft. The wallet may have been lost or misplaced elsewhere.

17 September 2024 09:11 Main Street (Howick) The KSS Control Room received a panic activation. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that a suspect had been apprehended and was in possession of stolen items. SAPS were formally advised. KSS Officers handed the suspect over to SAPS.

17 September 2024 09:25 Main Street (Howick) The KSS Control Room received a call from a client reporting that her cell phone had been stolen. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that the phone had been switched off and tracking was lost. A drill had also been stolen. SAPS were advised. KSS conducted additional patrols in the area.

17 September 2024 11:44 Bainsfield (Pietermaritzburg) The KSS Control Room received a CCTV camera activation. A Magma Response Team was dispatched. The Magma Officers reported that the suspects had fled. A site check was done. Nothing was stolen.

17 September 2024 18:11 Harvard Street (Howick) The KSS Control Room received a CCTV camera activation showing one suspect jumping over a fence with a stolen item. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that the suspect fled but they had recovered the stolen items. The client was advised. KSS conducted additional patrols in the area.

18 September 2024 12:19 Taylor Road (Merrivale) The KSS Control Room received a CCTV camera activation of a suspect stealing plants. A KSS Response Team was dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that the suspect had fled. KSS conducted additional patrols in the area.

18 September 2024 07:12 Kwela Street (Kwa Mevana) The KSS Control Room received an alarm activation. A KSS Response Team was dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that copper pipes had been stolen and the alarm damaged. SAPS were formally advised. A case was opened.

18 September 2024 20:25 Dennis Shepstone Drive (Hilton) The KSS Control Room received a radio call from an on-site KSS Security Guard advising that a vehicle had bumped into the gate. A KSS Response Team was dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that they had handed the matter over to the site manager as there was minor damage.

19 September 2024 08:54 Bell Street (Howick) The KSS Control room received a call from the client advising that clothing had been stolen from the washing line. As per the client no need for SAPS.

20 September 2024 07:51 Shafton Road (Howick) The KSS Control Room received a call from a client requesting assistance. A KSS Response Team was dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that items had been stolen off the verandah. Access was gained through the fence. SAPS were formally advised. A case was opened.

22 September 2024 17:15 Bevdon Place (Howick) The KSS Control Room received a call from a client requesting assistance. A KSS Response Team was dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that a suspect had mugged a young boy and stolen his cell phone in York Road. KSS conducted additional patrols in the area. SAPS were formally advised. A case was opened.

23 September 2024 08:43 Shafton Road (Howick) The KSS Control Room received a call from the client requesting assistance. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. KSS Officers reported that there had been a suspect on site. Copper pipes were stolen. SAPS were formally advised. A case was opened.

23 September 2024 19:07 Overdene Road (Howick West) The KSS Control Room received a call from the client requesting assistance. A KSS Response Team was dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that there had been an intruder on site and a vehicle window had been broken. Items were stolen. SAPS were formally advised. A case was opened. KSS conducted additional patrols in the area.

26 September 2024 19:10 Market Street (Howick) The KSS Control Room received a call from the client requesting assistance. A KSS Response Team was dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that there had been an intruder on site. Access was gained by jumping over the back fence. Nothing was stolen, but KSS Officers noticed that the neighbouring site’s copper pipes had been stolen. The client was advised.

27 September 2024 10:11 Zeederberg Road (Merrivale) The KSS Control Room received a panic activation. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that a suspect had been apprehended. As per the client no need for SAPS as the complainant had left the site. The suspect was released.

28 September 2024 09:53 Valley View Road (Howick West) The KSS control room received a message about a break-in. A KSS Response Team was dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that solar lights and solar panels had been stolen. The client advised SAPS. A case was opened. KSS conducted additional patrols in the area.

30 September 2024 07:54 Laurel Crescent (Merrivale) The KSS Control Room received a call from the client reporting a positive break-in. A KSS Response Team was dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that items had been stolen. Access was gained by jumping over the fence. As per the client no need for SAPS.

30 September 2024 18:52 Main Street (Howick) The KSS Control Room received a CCTV camera activation showing a suspect on site. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. KSS Officers reported that the suspect had fled. There were no signs of forced entry. Nothing was stolen. KSS conducted additional patrols in the area.
