KSS Incidents 16 – 30 September 2025
16 September 2025 11:58 Berea Road (Howick) The KSS Control Room received a call from a client reporting that the piping from her geyser had been stolen. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that copper pipes were stolen and that the gas geyser was left on the ground. SAPS were formally advised.

16 September 2025 21:46 Main Street (Howick) The KSS Control Room received an alarm activation. A KSS Response Team were dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that trunking and wiring had been tampered with. The client was advised. There was no sign of forced entry. KSS conducted additional patrols in the area as per the client’s request.

19 September 2025 02:26 Wilson Road (Merrivale Heights) The KSS Control Room received an alarm activation. A KSS Response Team were dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that upon arrival the client advised them that a suspect in a vehicle had fled when he was noticed by the client. The vehicle was not locked and the suspect fled with an item from the vehicle. KSS conducted additional patrols in the area. As per client no need for SAPS.

19 September 2025 05:29 Main Street (Howick) The KSS Control Room received an alarm activation. A KSS Response Team was dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that on arrival they noticed that the wood work shed had been broken into. The suspect fled. Nothing was stolen. The client was advised.

19 September 2025 06:05 Wilson Road (Merrivale Heights) The KSS Control Room received a notification about a positive break-in. A KSS Response Team and SAPS were dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that a radio had been stolen from a vehicle. Access was gained by forcing the door open. A case was opened.

22 September 2025 06:05 Birnamwood Road (Merrivale Heights) The KSS control Room received a message reporting a positive break-in. A KSS Response Team and SAPS were dispatched. A brush cutter, tools and a roast chicken out the fridge were stolen. Access was gained through the fence and the garage was unlocked. A case was opened.

22 September 2025 14:26 Flanders Crescent (Merrivale) The KSS Control Room received a call from a client reporting that there had been a positive break-in. A KSS Response Team was dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that access was gained by jumping over the front wall. A window was broken but no access to the rest of the house was gained. The suspect fled. Nothing was stolen. As per the client no need for SAPS.

23 September 2025 22:24 Petrus Stroom Road (Petrus Stroom) The KSS control room received an alarm activation. A KSS Response Teams was dispatched and met with the client on site. The KSS Officers reported that the lock for the workshop door had been cut. The suspect was disturbed by the alarm and fled. Nothing was stolen. Access was gained through the perimeter fence. KSS conducted additional patrols in the area.

26 September 2025 09:40 Market Street (Howick) The KSS control room received a call from a client stating a suspect on site. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that the suspect had attempting to steal the client’s vehicle but was disturbed. The suspect also gained access into the garage by opening the back window. Nothing was stolen. The suspect fled. SAPS were formally advised.

26 September 2025 11:35 Paddock Crescent (Howick) The KSS Control Room received a call from a client reporting that copper piping had been stolen. KSS Response Teams and SAPS were dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that the suspects had gained access by lifting the wire of the fence. A case was opened.

27 September 2025 10:45 Main Street (Howick) The KSS Control Room received a camera activation of a suspect inside the property. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that a gas bottle had been stolen. Access was gained to an unlocked cage. The suspect fled. KSS conducted additional patrols in the area. SAPS were formally advised. A case was opened.

27 September 2025 18:24 Kwela Street (Kwa-Mevana) The KSS Control Room received a call from a client reporting that the on-site Security Guard had informed that there was a suspect on site. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. The KSS Officers apprehended a suspect in possession of metal piping. SAPS were formally advised. KSS Officers handed the suspect over to SAPS. A case was opened.

28 September 2025 10:54 Petrus Stroom Road (Petrus Stroom) The KSS Control Room received a call from a client reporting that suspects had tampered with the gate solar panel. A KSS Response Team was dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that the suspects had placed branches against the pole to climb up the pole and cut the cables. A battery was stolen.

28 September 2025 20:06 Ogilvie Road (Howick) The KSS Control Room received a call from a KSS Senior Response Officer reporting that a vehicle had been broken into. The client advised they would go to SAPS. A case was opened.

28 September 2025 21:00 Amber Avenue (Howick) The KSS Control Room received a call from a client reporting that upon arriving home they noticed the gate was open. A KSS Response Team was dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that the gate motor had been tampered with. Nothing was stolen. KSS conducted additional patrols in the area.

29 September 2025 01:36 Hilton College Road (Hilton) The KSS Control Room received a message reporting suspects onsite. A KSS Response Team was dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that access was gained by cutting lines on the electric fence. The main gate was also slightly open. Clothes were stolen. As per client no need for SAPS.

29 September 2025 07:45 Laurel Crescent (Merrivale) The KSS Control Room received a call from a client reporting a break-in. KSS Response Team was dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that access was gained by jumping over the fence. A roll of fencing mesh and wooden planks were stolen. SAPS were formally advised. A case was opened.

29 September 2025 15:04 Campbell Road (Howick) The KSS Control Room was advised that a door had been ripped off an outside shed. Nothing was stolen. As per the client no need for KSS Response or SAPS.

29 September 2025 17:41 Teviot Place (Howick) The KSS Control Room received a call from a client requesting assistance. A KSS Response Team was dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that a gas bottle had been stolen. Access was gained by jumping over the wall. External beams were not armed, and the gas cage was not locked. As per the client no need for SAPS. KSS conducted additional patrols in the area.

30 September 2025 07:50 Paddock Crescent (Howick) The KSS Control Room received a call from a client advising that a gate had been stolen. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that the suspect had been apprehended, and the gate recovered. SAPS were formally advised. KSS Officers handed the suspect over to SAPS. A case was opened.
