KSS Incidents 1 – 15 October 2025
2 October 2025 09:48 Shafton Road (Hilton) The KSS Control Room received a call from a client reporting that there was a suspect on the property. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that the suspect was apprehended. When questioned, the suspect stated that he jumped into the property in order to hide from a vehicle that was chasing him. Nothing was damaged or stolen. The KSS Response Officers escorted the suspect from the area. As per client no need for SAPS.

3 October 2025 01:03 Moonwalk Road (Howick) The KSS Control Room received a camera activation. Two suspects were seen running into the Conservancy. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. The KSS Officers patrolled the area as well as surrounding roads. The KSS Response Officers searched the Conservancy. No-one was found.

3 October 2025 09:56 Harvard Street (Howick) The KSS Control Room received a panic activation. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. The KSS Officers advised that the client reported bags of cement had been stolen. KSS conducted additional patrols in the area. As per client no need for SAPS.

3 October 2025 13:21 Birnamwood Road (Merrivale Heights) The KSS control Room received a camera activation. The KSS Response Teams were dispatched. The KSS Officers met with onsite staff who reported that a door had been tampered with, and locks broken. A generator had been stolen. The client was advised. As per client there is no need for SAPS.

4 October 2025 18:57 Zeederberg Road (Merrivale) The KSS Control Room received a panic activation. A KSS Response Team was dispatched. A suspect was apprehended. SAPS were formally advised. KSS handed the suspect over to SAPS.

4 October 2025 20:11 Panorama Road (Hilton) The KSS control room received a SOS panic activation from the KSS APP. A KSS Response Team was dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that a vehicle had crashed into the perimeter wall. No injuries were reported. SAPS were formally advised. A case was opened.

6 October 2025 02:15 Valley View Road (Howick West) The KSS control room received call from a client reporting a suspect on site. A KSS Response Team was dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that the suspect had fled. A bag was recovered with some items in it. Numerous other items were, however, stolen. As per the client no need for SAPS.

6 October 2025 09:09 Morling Street (Howick) The KSS control room received call from a client reporting a suspect inside the property. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that there were two suspects, but one suspect fled. Access was gained by jumping over the fence. Nothing was stolen. The situation was handed over to SAPS. No case was opened.

7 October 2025 19:08 Riley Crescent (Howick) The KSS control room received call from a client reporting that there is a suspect on the property. The KSS Response Teams were dispatched. The KSS Response Officers reported that the suspect had fled. Access was gained by jumping over the fence. Nothing was stolen. KSS conducted additional patrols in the area.

11 October 2025 11:43 Oakleigh Drive (Howick) The KSS control room received call from a client reporting a suspect on the property. A KSS Response Team was dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that a suspect had stolen a wheel barrow and fled. SAPS were formally advised. A case was opened.

11 October 2025 15:48 Fraser Street (Howick) The KSS control room received call from a passerby who reported water running from a property. A KSS Response Team was dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that pipes had been cut, and a gas cage was found open with no cylinders inside. The water was shut off. The owner was advised.

14 October 2025 07:07 Karkloof Road (Karkloof) The KSS control room received call from a client reporting a man on the property. A KSS Response Team was dispatched. The KSS Officers reported the man in question had been robbed and walked to Karkloof looking for help. He stopped outside the property to sleep. KSS Officers assisted the man, and it was established that the suspect was known to the victim. SAPS were formally advised. A case was opened.

15 October 2025 05:34 Main Street (Howick) The KSS control room received a message reporting a suspect walking with a roll of plastic pipe. A KSS Response Team was dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that the suspect fled when he noticed the KSS vehicle. The KSS Officers chased after the suspect and managed to apprehend the suspect. SAPS were formally advised. A case was opened.
