KSS proudly joined the Gender-Based Violence Prayer Walk on Wednesday, 11th December, standing alongside fellow security companies, CPF, and SAPS in solidarity against this critical issue. If you or a loved one is experiencing gender-based violence, please report it and open a case. Change begins when we take action together.

KSS Incidents 1 – 15 December 2025
1 December 2025 02:56 D795 (Merrivale) The KSS Control Room received a call from a client reporting the next door property had two fresh holes in the fence line. A KSS Response Team was dispatched. KSS Officers reported that nothing had been stolen. As per the client no need for SAPS.
1 December 2025 04:04 D292 (Merrivale) The KSS Control Room received a call from a client reporting a fence cut. A KSS Response Team was dispatched.
1 December 2025 04:47 Laurel Crescent (Merrivale) The KSS Control Room received a fence alarm activation. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. KSS Officers reported that cable for the concrete mixer had been stolen. As per the client no need for SAPS.
1 December 2025 06:15 Oleander Road (Merrivale) The KSS Control Room received an alarm activation of a positive break-in. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. KSS Officers reported that copper pipes had been stolen. As per the client no need for SAPS.
2 December 2025 01:26 Rangeview Road (Howick West) The KSS Control Room received a call from a client reporting a domestic issue. KSS Response Teams and SAPS were dispatched. KSS Officers reported that an intoxicated male had broken a door down and stolen the client’s vehicle. The vehicle and suspect were located. KSS handed the suspect over to SAPS. A case was opened.
3 December 2025 08:43 Curry’s Post Road (Curry’s Post) The KSS Control Room received a call from a client reporting two males chasing someone down the road. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. KSS Officers met with the two males who stated they were chasing a suspect that had stolen items from the dump site. KSS Officers apprehended the suspect in Ridge Road. The onsite Security Officer reported SAPS were advised. The suspect had stolen copper pipes and cables. KSS handed the suspect over to SAPS. A case was opened.
3 December 2025 21:08 Old Main Road (Howick) The KSS Control Room received a CCTV camera activation of a suspect on site. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. KSS Officers reported that the suspect had fled. KSS conducted additional patrols in the area.
5 December 2025 13:44 Rylands Road (Howick) The KSS Control Room received a call from a client reporting a positive break-in. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that the suspect had stolen outdoor lights. The suspect gained access by jumping the fence. KSS conducted additional patrols in the area. A case was opened
5 December 2025 14:37 Zeederberg Road (Merrivale) The KSS Control Room received a call from a client reporting a suspect on site. A KSS Response Team was dispatched. KSS Officers reported that the suspect had attempted to steal a bottle of alcohol but was spotted by staff and fled. Onsite Security Officers managed to apprehend the suspect. As per the client no need for SAPS.
7 December 2025 02:02 Karkloof Road (Karkloof) The KSS Control Room received a call from an onsite KSS Controller reporting CCTV camera activation of a suspect going underneath the fence line. KSS Response Teams were dispatched as well as onsite KSS Security Officers. KSS Officers reported that the suspect was found asleep and was intoxicated. KSS handed the situation over to SAPS.
7 December 2025 12:23 Cargill Crescent (Merrivale) The KSS Control Room received a message reporting a positive break-in. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. KSS Officers reported that numerous items had been stolen. The suspect used force to enter the house and shed. SAPS were formally advised. A case was opened.
8 December 2025 22:36 Laurel Crescent (Merrivale) The KSS Control Room received a call reporting a noise coming from the property next door. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. KSS Officers reported that on arrival they found the fence had been cut. There were no signs of any tampering. The KSS Officers managed to temporarily close the hole. As per the client no need for SAPS. KSS conducted extra patrols in the area.
8 December 2025 22:05 D795 (Merrivale) The KSS Control Room received a fire alarm notification. Onsite KSS Security Officer was dispatched. KSS Response Teams, Ambulance Services and Fire Department were dispatched. KSS Officers reported all was in order and handed the incident over to the Fire Department.
8 December 2025 07:17 Oleander Road (Merrivale) The KSS Control Room received a call from a client reporting a positive break-in sometime during the course of the weekend. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. KSS Officers reported that a suspect had stolen copper pipes and wires from the machines. SAPS were formally advised. A case was opened.
8 December 2025 09:08 Lotus Road (Howick West) The KSS Control Room received a call from a member of the public reporting a positive break-in. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. KSS Officers reported that the suspect had gained entry into the house by breaking the bathroom window. A TV was stolen. SAPS were formally advised. A case was opened.
9 December 2025 18:50 Amber Avenue (Howick) The KSS Control Room received a call from a client reporting a possible break-in. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. KSS Officers reported a garage door had been damaged. Nothing was stolen. As per the client no need for SAPS. KSS conducted extra patrols in the area.
9 November 2025 21:00 Rietspruit Falls (Hilton) The KSS Control Room received a call from a client reporting a positive break-in. KSS Response Team was dispatched. The KSS Officers reported a computer had been stolen. No signs of forced entry. The client requested a KSS Security Guard to be placed onsite.
10 December 2025 01:56 Rangeview Road (Howick West) The KSS Control Room received a call from a member of the public reporting a domestic issue. KSS Response Teams and SAPS were dispatched. KSS Response Officers apprehended the intoxicated suspect at the back of the property. As per the client the suspect was attempting to break into the house. KSS handed over the matter to SAPS.
10 December 2025 02:56 Dale Road (Howick West) The KSS Control Room received a call from a member of the public reporting a positive break-in. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. The suspect gained access from a wall that was broken during a previous break in. SAPS were formally advised. A case was opened.
10 December 2025 08:24 District Drive (Merrivale Heights) The KSS Control Room received a call from a client reporting a positive break-in. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. KSS Officers reported that the suspect had broken a steel bar which was welded onto a door and a lock from a sliding door. Nothing was stolen. As per the client no need for SAPS.
10 December 2025 21:47 District Drive (Merrivale Heights) The KSS Control Room received a call a client reporting suspect onsite. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. KSS Officers reported an all-round check was conducted. No damage or suspects on site. As per the client no need for SAPS.
12 December 2025 10:50 Modder Road (Merrivale) The KSS Control Room received an alarm activation. A KSS Response Team was dispatched. KSS Officers reported that an all-round check was conducted. No signs of forced entry or tampering however the Wendy house was open. As per the client, he cannot recall if it was open or not. He will check on this when he gets home and advise KSS if necessary.
13 December 2025 08:11 Ogilvie Road (Merrivale) The KSS Control Room received and call from a client reporting an Eskom box onsite had been tampered with. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. KSS Officers reported that suspects had gained access by jumping the fence. A window was broken and access into the building was gained. The suspects stole power cables. The client reported the incident to Eskom. As per the client no need for SAPS.
13 December 2025 10:31 Laurel Crescent (Merrivale) The KSS Control Room received a call from a client reporting a CCTV camera activation of a suspect jumping the fence. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. The KSS Officers conducted an all-round check on site as well as a check on the railway line. As per the client nothing was stolen. As per the client no need for SAPS. KSS conducted additional patrols in the area.
13 December 2025 10:32 Saligna Road (Merrivale) The KSS Control Room received a panic activation. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. KSS Officers reported that there was a misunderstanding between staff members. The situation was under control.
14 December 2025 00:25 D292 (Merrivale) The KSS Control Room received a call from a client reporting a perimeter fence had been cut. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. KSS Officers spoke to the client who reported that nothing had been stolen and that suspects had cut the fence to pass through.
14 December 2025 08:13 D292 (Merrivale) The KSS Control Room received a call from a client reporting that there had been cable theft on a neighbouring farm. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. KSS Officers reported that suspects had stolen power cables. Client reported the incident to Eskom. A case was opened.
