KSS Incidents 1 – 14 January 2026
4 January 2026 19:22 Oleander Road (Merrivale) The KSS Control Room received an alarm activation. A KSS Response Team was dispatched. KSS Officers reported that the suspect cut the burglar guard on the window and attempted to steal a gas bottle. As per the client no need for SAPS.
5 January 2026 22:44 R617 (Boston) The KSS Control Room received a call reporting a suspect on site. A KSS Response Team was dispatched. KSS Officers reported the suspect had attempted to gain entry onto the premises but failed. Nothing was stolen. As per the client no need for SAPS
7 January 2026 18:39 Laurel Crescent (Merrivale) The KSS Control Room received a CCTV Camera Activation of a suspect on site. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. KSS Officers reported that the suspect had been apprehended as well as a welding machine had been recovered. The suspect has been linked to numerous break-ins in the area. KSS handed the suspect over to SAPS. A case was opened.
9 January 2026 14:55 Main Street (Howick) The KSS Control Room received a call from a client reporting the electric box had been tampered with. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. KSS Officers reported that the electric box was falling off of the pole. The box was still intact and no wires were cut. As per the client no need for SAPS. Client advised they would go through CCTV footage.
11 January 2026 14:37 Northumberland Avenue (Howick) The KSS Control Room received a panic activation. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. KSS Officers reported a suspect had attempted to steal a gas bottle and fled. KSS Officers recovered the gas bottle. SAPS were formally advised. A case was opened.
12 January 2026 07:14 Saligna Road (Merrivale) The KSS Control Room received a call from a client reporting a positive break-in. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. KSS Officers met with the client on site. The suspect broke the passenger side window and stole the battery. As per the client no need for SAPS.
