KSS Incidents 1 -16 February 2026
1 February 2026 02:52 Boxer Avenue (Mpophomeni) The KSS Control Room received a call from an on-site KSS Security Officer requesting back up. A KSS Response Team was dispatched. KSS Officers reported that the suspect had gained access by jumping the fence. The suspect fled. Nothing was stolen.

1 February 2026 16:15 Taylor Road (Merrivale) The KSS Control Room received a call from a client reporting a suspect on-site. A KSS Response Team was dispatched. KSS Officers reported a positive break-in with numerous items stolen. The suspect was disturbed by the client and fled. KSS conducted extra patrols in the area.

6 February 2026 16:18 Harvard Street (Howick) The KSS Control Room received a call from an on-site KSS Security Officer via ITalk Radio requesting back up. KSS Response Teams and SAPS were dispatched. KSS Officers reported that a suspect had been caught stealing. KSS formally handed the situation over to SAPS.

7 February 2026  12:48 Laurel Crescent (Merrivale) The KSS Control Room received a CCTV Camera activation of a suspect on-site. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. KSS Officers reported that an all-round check was conducted. The suspect had fled. Nothing was stolen.

9 February 2026  08:34 Main Street (Howick) The KSS Control Room received a call from a client reporting a break-in. KSS Response Teams and SAPS were dispatched. KSS Officers reported that copper pipes had been stolen. The suspect was later apprehended. A case was opened.

9 February 2026  16:24 Flamingo Drive (Hilton) The KSS Control Room received a call from a client reporting copper piping stolen from a vacant property. As per the client no need for SAPS. Client requested extra patrols in the area.

10 February 2026  08:06 Laurel Crescent (Merrivale) The KSS Control Room received a call from a client reporting an attempted break-in. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that the electric fence had been cut. Nothing was stolen.

11 February 2026  03:09 Main Road (Merrivale) The KSS Control Room received a call from a client reporting a positive break-in. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. The KSS Officers confirmed numerous items were stolen from site.

11 February 2026 17:59 Flamingo Drive (Hilton) The KSS Control Room received an alarm activation. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that the garage door had been damaged. Nothing was stolen. As per the client no need for SAPS. KSS conducted extra patrols in the area.

12 February 2026 08:10 Mare Street (Howick) The KSS Control Room received an alarm activation. KSS Response Teams and SAPS were dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that doors were open. The suspect gained access by jumping over the pedestrian gate. Access into the building was gained through a window. A case was opened.

13  February 2026  02:05 Main Road (Merrivale) The KSS Control Room received a CCTV Camera activation of suspects on-site. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that the siren went off and disturbed the suspects. The suspects fled. An all-round check was conducted. Nothing was stolen.

13 February 2026  18:55 Laurel Crescent (Merrivale) The KSS Control Room received a CCTV Camera activation of a suspect on-site. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that the suspect had fled. An all-round check was conducted. Nothing was stolen.

13  February 2026  20:11 Birnamwood Road (Merrivale) The KSS Control Room received a message regarding a horse that was missing. KSS Response Teams received information on the whereabouts of the horse. KSS Officers escorted the client to fetch the horse.

15 February 2026 12:55 Oakleigh Drive (Howick) The KSS Control Room received a call from a client reporting a break-in. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. The KSS Officers met with the client on-site. KSS Officers reported that solar panels had been stolen. As per the client no need for SAPS. KSS conducted extra patrols in the area.

15  February 2026 18:47 Harvard Street (Howick) The KSS Control Room received a call from an on-site KSS Security Officer reporting an electrical box had been tampered with. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that the suspects had attempted to break the electrical box but failed. As per the client it has been reported. KSS conducted extra patrols in the area.

16 February 2026 01:48 Haza Section (KwaHaza) The KSS Control Room received a call from a Private on-site Security Officer reporting a positive break-in. KSS Response Teams and SAPS were dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that plastic chairs and other items had been stolen. Suspects cut the fence to gain access. The alarm system was ripped off the wall. KSS handed the situation over to SAPS. A case was opened.
